What's your view?
This is the first blog on the new site! As you can see we're trying something new and moving on from the old way of doing things, you know big record companies and all that. Ask most musicians and they'll have strong opinions on the subject of record companies and access to music etc. but not often do we hear from the actual consumers, you the music fan. Personally I love the availablitiy that itunes and others provide, instantly locating buying and enjoying that tune you're talkin about at dinner, or needing a fix of Dub Reggae on a lazy 4 am, I think is very cool.. and if an artist thought they could fill their albums with b-sides and filler tracks..not any more! But I do miss having a tangible thing to hold..an LP was the peak for me (of course I was a tiny tiny baby when they disappeared) ... so here's the gist of this blog..what do you as music consumers think of the changes in the industry? Better or worse? Do you find it hard to get to hear new music, do you still like the radio? Internet Radio? Is this too much like market research???
Cheers and hope you enjoy the acoustic album..I had fun doing it GJ |
